I think it should be a personal choice, and people who do not want to do it should be left alone and not chastised for that decision. People who are uneducated and uncultured think it's taboo or wrong when there's nothing wrong with it. Some people will be accepting of it, and others just won't. I'm half Navajo and half African American. When I was 11, my Navajo aunt sits me down and talks to me about how hard my life is going to be and all the people who are going to question me about my race. Eventually she gives me an ultimatum and asks "Do you want to be called a n*gger or a savage?" People, even you own family, can be judgemental and ridculous.

Their is nothing wrong with you or your relationship but as long as the racist elements are allowed to control the media and get away with all the things they do here you are going to face hateful, small, and miserable people and since they have built racism into the very fabric of this country it's going to be a part of life. I have no problem with it. I really don't see the big interest in it either way though. What's so special about it they are just two other ppl who are in love.



And to Bikerchick by saying animals don't do it I suppose your referring to other SPECIES of animals not mating or reproducing and while that may be true no matter what race or nationality you are all us humans are of the SAME species. So your argument is worthless and further to the point tabby furred cats mate with black, white and striped cats and this goes on in every breed of animal so once again your argument holds no relevance. However I have no problem with those who are not for it you are entitled your opinion.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with interracial relationships. I love them because they are so cute.

Actually, inter-racial relationships require very strong people to make it last.

First, there's bound to be problems with the partner's families.

Then there's the society.

Then there's the respect for each other's cultures or even religion.

It's tough, but I like such relationships. Shows the true racial tolerance.
