Is there an additional fee on inter-state child support?

My husband and I are filing for a divorce. We know I will be getting full custody of our son and I will be listing my mother's address as my current address, at least until I can find a more permanent living situation for my son and myself. The problem is, he lives in Vermont, and I'm staying with my mother in Massachusetts. My husband thinks there will be an extra fee he will have to pay once child support is established, since he will have to pay Vermont, who will have to pay Massachusetts, who will pay me. Is this true?Is there an additional fee on inter-state child support? The answer to all of your questions will be resolved, when you go to court and your divorce is final.
