Are there huge differences between Inter Core 2 Duo and the new Intel's i3, i5, and i7?

If so, what are the differences between each of 'em?Are there huge differences between Inter Core 2 Duo and the new Intel's i3, i5, and i7?For normal usage, not much of a difference. For a technical view, there is quite a few differences. See link below. Search Intel's site as well. Are there huge differences between Inter Core 2 Duo and the new Intel's i3, i5, and i7?Actully there is a huge difference the i7 is a quad core but note this the i7 has 4 physical cores and 4 logical cores compared to just the regular 4 cores or 2 cores. I myself went from a Core 2 Duo to the I7 this year and I have nothing that can slow me down even when i have lots of stuff open =) internet explorer is loaded before it fully expands on my 24" screen =)Are there huge differences between Inter Core 2 Duo and the new Intel's i3, i5, and i7?HUGE differences.

The i-series processors are all quad core whereas the Core 2 Duo contains 2 processing cores.

In the i-series processors, Intel got rid of the Front Side Bus (FSB) and now communicates *directly* with RAM.

Can we say, "Fast!"
