Is it safe to travel with Inter rail? And which countries you recommend me to visit in Europe?

You know that InterRail is for European people and for people who have been living in Europe for 6 months or longer.

Others have to use Eurail, which is slightly different and has different countries you can use.

Travel with InterRail is as safe or unsafe as any kind of traveling.

In principle is train travel safe, but when InterRailing you do not just stay in trains but you will be outside trains for a big part of your time. How safe you are there depends mostly on how you behave.

Keep to the normal rules, like you would in a city near where you live, like do not go into the park at night, do not go into small unlit alleys, if you do not trust a place do not stay and do not get completely drunk or stoned unless you are in the company of people you can trust and even then you better not.

Which countries?

Each and any that take your fancy as long as you do not try to do too many.

You can travel through all countries allowed on your pass but you will not remember anything of those countries if you do. Better spend a week in one location and get to know it before you travel on.

You could do two completely different areas.

Like Scandinavia and the Balkan, or France and Czech republic. Make a few stops while traveling from one end to the other.

This site has a lot of information on traveling by train in Europe, including info on railpasses:

http://www.seat61.com/Is it safe to travel with Inter rail? And which countries you recommend me to visit in Europe? It's called Eurail if you mean the rail ticket system that is used for most all the Euro countries.

it's very safe and very convenient.

All euro countries are wort visiting but depending on your time you should try to visit most of the main cities that you can. Much culture, art and history. Great food throughout Europe.

I like Munich, Berlin, Germany, Florence, Venice and Rome, Italy, Paris and Nice, France, Barcelona, Spain, Luassane, Switzerland, Monte Carlo, Saltzberg and Vienna, Austria, Amsterdam, Netherlands and London, England.

All are full of history and art and good food and night life.

. . .Is it safe to travel with Inter rail? And which countries you recommend me to visit in Europe?Yes, It's safe to use Inter Rail or Eurail depending on which you qualify for. I've been living in Italy for almost 12 years and travel extensively within Europe using the trains quite a bit. I've never had any problems. Of all the places I've visited, I have yet to find a place where I wouldn't want to go back and see more. Pick the places that most interest you and fit into the available time that you have. It would be hard to go wrong no matter where you choose to visit.

This is a useful site for information on trains here and will tell you how to determine whether a pass is better than just buying individual tickets for your trip. http://www.seat61.com/ There are links to the various national train websites where you can find schedules and prices. Note that if you choose to visit Italy, which I can highly recommend, it is not worth the money to use a railpass.
